I worked as a supervisor at Motel One in Rotterdam, NL, which was by far the most responsible and challenging role I’ve had. The job taught me a lot about leadership and managing a team under pressure, especially in a fast-paced environment. I learned how to stay calm and make decisions quickly while ensuring everything ran smoothly. This role also helped me develop strong problem-solving skills, as I had to address unexpected situations and maintain high service standards.

CONTENT DESIGNER

I had the opportunity to work with a Bulgarian influencer who also has her own brand, creating posts for several campaigns targeting her specific audience. This experience taught me how to create content that resonates deeply with a particular group while staying true to the brand’s voice. I learned how to balance creativity with strategy, ensuring each post was aligned with the brand’s messaging. It also gave me valuable experience in social media marketing, helping me understand how to engage and grow a dedicated audience through effective visual storytelling.

Groningen, Netherlands

I worked at Mercure Hotel in Groningen for almost 2 years, balancing my weekends there alongside my studies. This job taught me a lot about discipline, working quickly and efficiently, and managing my time. My teammates and boss were incredible, and I’ll always appreciate the support they gave me. I also learned a great deal about communication, not only with guests but with my colleagues as well. The experience showed me how challenging the hospitality industry can be, and it made me respect the people working in it even more.

I worked as a receptionist and sandwich maker at ARTE Hotel in my hometown, Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. This was my first job where I had to work 12-hour shifts, all to save up for my tuition at Hanze University of Applied Sciences—because I was determined to study there. It taught me a lot about responsibility, teamwork, and how to balance work with my personal goals. It was hard work, but it gave me the skills and drive to succeed.
